Radon is a growing health risk as a result of tighter homes. The EPA calls for testing of all homes for health and safety.
Testing lasts 48 hours with the tightest tolerance monitor available, the Corentium Pro. It uses passive diffusion, alpha spectrometry and silicon photodiodes to measure alpha particle energy from radon gas decay. Calibration is C-NRPP certified to a standard deviation +/-7%. or 0.12 pCi/L, where other monitors range upwards to +/-21%.
Even if treated in the past, recurring insect activity can be a risk. We use licensed entomologists with certification beyond the basic NEPMA level to assure you the most comprehensive evaluation within the scope of the law.
We can schedule a wood destroying insect inspection on your behalf to help give you a clear and certified report of visible active or previous insect activity in the home.
The Neighborhood Environmental Report scans 1,400 government databases for potential contamination that may impact the property. Tank leaks (e.g., gas stations) • Chemical spills • Residential oil spills • Clandestine drug labs.
It is especially important to screen homes within 1/2 mile of gas stations, dry cleaners, industrial sites or general commercial sites.
In-ground, or above ground pools can have unknown deficiencies. We inspect the visible and accessible liner, pump, filter, skimmer, ladders, cover, heater, electric, fence, gates and visible pipes for worn, defective or unsafe conditions. Knowing these and addressing them help preserve a safe swimming environment.
If your home has a well, knowing the water condition can protect your family's health and help isolate potential problems.
The scan includes bacteria, coliform, nitrate, nitrite, pH, alkalinity, iron, manganese, copper, sulfate, chloride, sodium, hardness, turbidity, dissolved solids, chlorine. Deeper scans are available, as well as radon in water.
Information on private wells can be found at mass.gov/private-wells.

If the property shows visible questions of possible fungal/mold spore issues, we carry testing equipment with us to explore the risks further.
Sometimes personal health make it prudent to evaluate airborne spores or other foreign matter. If needed, we can discuss this further to be assured we are doing the best testing for you.
Sewer pipes are notorious for clogging, backing up and creating big headaches. The trouble is, they are inaccessible without a sewer scope inspection. Using flexible, 50' cameras, our partners will scope out what's happening underground.
